Prep, Prep, Prep

So I will literally be on a plane one week from now. I honestly can't wait, but at the same time, I NEED MORE TIME! haha, I just didn't realize that I was leaving so much to do at the last minute! I am seriously kicking myself because I have a lot of reading to do for my classes, things to buy, inventorying, packing, washing, cleaning, copying, transferring, canceling, etc. to do! Madness, I tell ya.  I know everything is going to work out just fine, but as of right now, it's a little intimidating.  Not to mention the fact that I have been trying to learn the basics of Czech, and that language is a nasty little bugger.  Anyway, I just have to take a deep breath and say to myself "Come what may, and love it".   Here's part of the campus at Prague College, very nice!

P.S. For those of you that have private blogs, can you invite me so I can stalk you? haha, I'm kidding, of course, but I would love to check em out every once in awhile! my email is ziggy_louise@msn.com.

Blessings

Today my mom and I went to REI to get me a new Nalgene bottle, and as we gazed at the towering wall of water bottles, one section in particular caught my eye.  The Life is Good brand has been around for years, and I have long admired their garb and accessories, so naturally i went ahead and chose this one:

Cute, right? Anyways, it got me thinking about how lucky I have been in my life, and how blessed I am.  Honestly, how many people get to go to Europe for 6 weeks?! My parents have done so much to provide for me and my siblings, and I am so grateful.  Not only have they spoiled us beyond what we deserve, they have been such awesome examples of faith and strength.  They have been through so much in their lives, and they still work incredibly hard to make sure we are happy.  I love love love my parents and the gospel! Without those things who knows where I would be?  Life really is good.

Peace and Love,
Harley Kat

You are now entering: The Blog Zone

This is my very own, super-duper amazing blog! I am so excited to be able to use this as a way to force all there is to know about me down your throats. But in the nicest, most entertaining way possible.  It's a little weird because it makes me feel like an adult! It seems everyone I know who has a blog is married with the occasional kid, and yet here I am, single Miss Ricks, soon to be jet-setter!

Which brings me to my next topic, I am going on a study abroad to Prague, Czech Republic for a month! I leave June 4, which is right around the corner, and I am crazy excited! It is so weird to think that in a little over a week, I will be on a plane to Europe, I won't know anyone, anything, or the language.  It is a completely new experience, totally out of my comfort zone and I couldn't welcome it more.

I will be using this blog to update everyone on my travel experiences and my life experiences beyond this trip.  Life happens oh so fast, and this will help me slow down and take in the scenery.

Peace and Love,
Harley Kat Ricks
